Bill Analysis
Under current law, each school district and open-enrollment charter school is required to submit certain information to the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS). SB 490 would require these schools to include in their PEIMS reporting information regarding the availability of “full-time equivalent counselors” (individuals who spend at least 40 hours a week counseling).
