Bill Caption

Relating to a building used as a prescribed pediatric extended care center.

Fiscal Notes

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

This bill would amend requirements on buildings used as a prescribed pediatric extended care center, including that the space must provide a minimum of 60 square feet for each child. The maximum capacity at each center would be raised from the current 60 to a new maximum of 100.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Prescribed pediatric extended care centers provide care for certain Medicaid patients at a lower cost than some alternative programs. Provider participation in this program is entirely voluntary and requires compliance with state parameters. If providers find the new requirements onerous they may discontinue participation in the program. For these reasons we remain neutral.
