Bill Analysis
In 1985, the starting salary for a bailiff in El Paso County was set to $18,000 and provision was made for salary increases. SB 1246 would set the salary for a bailiff in El Paso to be consistent with other comparable positions in the county. In addition, the salary would be approved by the majority of the Council of Judges rather than just the appointing judge.
