Bill Analysis
This bill would allow ballots by mail sent by a member of the armed forces or merchant marine of the United States or the spouse or dependent of a member to be counted if the ballot arrives not later than the sixth day after the election unless that day is a weekend or holiday, in which case the deadline is extended to the next regular business day. The bill would also require that each local canvassing authority convene to conduct the local canvass at a time set by the canvass's presiding officer subject to the other requirements of the section.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This bill does not appear to have a connection to our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
