Relating to minimum scores required for students in certain school
districts to pass an examination for acceleration or for credit.
Fiscal Notes
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
This bill would allow the Highland Park ISD to set it's own minimum threshold above the current 80th percentile minimum passing score required in acceleration examinations that are used to advance a grade in elementary or middle school and exams used for course credit in high school. The maximum score that could be required under this bill is a 90 percent passing score.
