Bill Analysis
This bill would clarify the proper scope of the process under which a lis pendens could be expunged. The slight modification to this portion of the code merely serves to expand the applicability as it was originally intended when the legislature authorized this process in 2009. This bill would also assert that after such a recording has been entered, the property may be sold or encumbered free of all matters asserted or disclosed in the claim.
