Bill Analysis
This bill would modify various parts of the code relating to occupational licensure.
It would reduce some of the burdens of occupational licensure for the following occupations: Midwives, Speech Pathologists and Audiologists, Dyslexia Practitioners and Therapists, Hearing Instrument Fitter and Dispensers, Orthotists and Prosthetists, Dietitians, Licensing and Code Enforcement Officers, Sanitarians, Mold Assessors and Remediators.
This bill would also establish a massage therapy board. It would repeal grounds for refusal for an athletic training license. This bill would also prevent the denial, refusal to renew, or suspension of certain licenses on the basis of a criminal background for some of the aforementioned occupations.
