Bill Analysis

This bill would mandate that administration of the low income housing tax credit program comply with must comply with federal and state fair housing laws. 

Vote Recommendation Notes

This legislation is an attempt to conform low income housing policy in Texas to federal policy which is not always in the best interest of Texans. This diminishes our limited government principle by placing policy-making at the wrong level of government. For these reasons we oppose HB 3685.
