Bill Analysis
HB 3442 would allow the board of the Fairfield Hospital District to order an election to increase the maximum tax rate. However, it may not exceed 25 cents on each $100 valuation of taxable property in the district. Procedures for this election would be established.
Vote Recommendation Notes
While this bill would open the door to a potential tax increase, it is very local in nature and a tax rate increase would only be possible if approved by voters in an election. For these reasons we remain neutral on HB 3442.
