Bill Caption

Relating to the costs associated with the provision of certain investigational drugs, biological products, and devices that are in clinical trials.

Fiscal Notes

From the LBB: No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

Under current law, a manufacturer must provide an investigational drug, biological product, or device to an eligible patient without receiving compensation. This bill would allow a manufacturer to require an eligible patient to pay the costs of or associated with the manufacture of the investigational drugs, biological product, or device.

Vote Recommendation Notes

This bill furthers our free market and limited government principles by allowing a manufacturer to charge a patient for the cost associated with the manufacture of an investigational drug or device being. We support HB 3236.
