Bill Analysis
HB 2792 would change the tax exemption standards of public housing developers, mandating that in order to be exempt, developers must have at least 20 percent of units made available designated as public housing or, rent restricted as subsidized publicly. This bill would also further define a "public housing unit" and only apply to a municipality that has a population over 600,000 and is located next to the international border.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This bill does not have a connection to our principles, since it does not necessarily add new regulation as it reforms existing exemption standards. For this reason, we remain neutral on this bill.
