HB 2683 amends Transportation Code relating to the use of public school buses on tolling projects. The bill would remove requirements for registration and toll fees for public school buses using toll projects. However, the bill clarifies that tolling projects would still maintain the authority to establish rules regarding vehicles unable to maintain minimum speed requirements.
Allowing public transportation vehicles access to public/private partnered toll systems does not have any apparent connection to our liberty principles and we remain neutral.
