Bill Caption
Relating to the functions and administration of the Health and Human Services Commission and the commission's office of the inspector general in relation to fraud, waste, and abuse in health and human services.
Fiscal Notes
Depending upon the amount collected by MCOs from providers
in managed care and remitted to the state, there would be a indeterminate
positive fiscal impact to the state.
Bill Analysis
This bill would define legal services to the office of inspector general of the Health and Human Services Commission as services related only to open records, procurement, contracting, human resources, privacy, litigation support, bankruptcy, and other legal services as determined by a memorandum of understanding or written agreement.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This bill tightens the language regarding what legal services the inspector general provides under the law, and does not appear to have a connection to our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
