Bill Analysis
Under current law, emergency vehicles are sometimes exempted from certain road laws during the course of performing their duties. HB 1816 would grant the same exemptions to a medical supply distributor to transport medical supplies to an emergency care facility or pharmacy located in an area declared a disaster area by the governor as long as such operation will not negatively impact evacuation, recovery, or response activities.
