Bill Analysis

HB 1227 clarifies code regarding a preexisting statutory requirement on a health benefit plan issuer to display on their website and make available by toll-free telephone number the prescription drug information for each of the issuer’s individual health benefit plans. This bill clarifies that the mandate applies only to individual plans, not group health plans.

Vote Recommendation Notes

To the extent that this clarifying language may help clear up any confusion created by current statute, this bill may be beneficial. However, it does not affect our liberty principles and we remain neutral.
