HB 1099 would expand existing tenant rights to summon police by prohibiting a landlord from prohibiting or limiting a tenant’s right to summon police or emergency assistance based on the tenant’s belief an individual is in need of intervention or emergency assistance or impose monetary or other penalties on a tenant who summons police or emergency assistance.
