Bill Analysis

This legislation would amend Transportation code to allow a person to operate a motorcycle equipped with LED ground effect lighting that emits a non-flashing amber or white light.

Vote Recommendation Notes

We support this legislation under the personal responsibility and individual liberty principles. This bill would allow motorcycle operators to have an undercarriage LED light, as long as it is amber or white, and does not flash. This will help to increase motorcycle visibility on dark roads which would in turn help to decrease motorcycle accidents and make the roads safer for all motorists as a result.
