This legislation would repeal Section 172.021(e) of the Election Code, regarding petition signature requirements
for petitions candidates for certain judicial offices are required submit along with applications for a place on the general primary election ballot, these requirements vary depending on whether a candidate chooses to submit the applicable filing fee with that application or chooses
to file a petition in lieu of the filing fee.
