Bill Analysis

HB 3316 would amend the Estates Code to add that real property transactions would be voidable by any person if the durable power of attorney was not filed with the county clerk within 10 days after the date the real property transaction was filed.

This bill seeks to promote the timely filing of durable power of attorney in a real property transaction. This legislation has no discernible connection to our liberty principles, therefore we are neutral on HB 3316.
