Bill Caption

Relating to the permissible value of a residential dwelling offered or awarded as a prize at a charitable raffle.

Fiscal Notes

No significant fiscal impact to the State or local governments is expected.

Bill Analysis

HB 3093 would increase the limit on the value of a residential dwelling offered or awarded as a prize at a raffle from $250,000 to $2,000,000.

Vote Recommendation Notes

HB 3093 would take a positive step toward lessening governmental authority over charitable raffles by substantially increasing the maximum value of residential dwellings that may be raffled. While this bill does not go far enough in fully repealing the limitation, we still support it's changes.
