The bill would amend the Election Code to specify a single notarized affidavit by a person who obtained the signatures would be valid for all signatures gathered by the person if certain conditions exist. The bill would permit a petition to be corrected and additional signatures to be presented after it has been initially filed and before the deadline for filing a petition.

This legislation would amend the Election Code to specify a single notarized affidavit by the person who obtained the signatures would to be valid for all signatures gathered by that person provided the affidavit is notarized after the date of the last signature, and allow a petition to be corrected and additional signatures to be presented after it has been initially filed and before the deadline for filing a petition.
