Bill Analysis

This legislation would amend the Election Code to allow a movable polling place to be changed only after the polling place has been open for at least two days where it resides currently. The bill would require early voting by personal appearance at a movable temporary branch polling place to be conducted for at least eight hours on each day voting is conducted.

Vote Recommendation Notes

We support this legislation under the individual liberty principle. This bill would allow the movement of a mobile polling location only after it has remained open at the current location for two days or longer. This support individual liberty, for voters to have surety that the polling location will be open for a required time period, instead of being unaware of the locations, how long they'll be open, or when they'll be open.
