Bill Caption

Relating to suicide prevention training for certain educators and other employees of a school district.

Fiscal Notes

No significant cost to the State.

Local Government

There would be administrative costs to school districts to provide the training annually and districts may require the use of substitutes. The administrative costs would vary from district to district depending on whether the district offered the training and how many employees would need to be trained annually.

Bill Analysis

HB 2186 would amend code to require school district employees to participate in suicide prevention training once annually and remove language that requires the school district to keep records of employees who participate in the training.
