Bill Analysis

HB 1559 would require school districts that maintain a website to post information about programs and services that can assist homeless students. The bill would provide that school districts are not liable for any harm that may come to a student in connection with a local program or service referred to on the website. Schools districts with fewer than 3,000 students in counties with a population of less than 50,000 would be exempt from the provisions of this legislation.
