Bill Analysis

Summary: HB 3101 would create uniformity in the Election Code by removing the provision that allows write-in candidate 3 extra days to file and have their name included on the ballot.

Analysis: HB 3101 would make it easier for election officials to get the ballots printed and distributed in a timely manner. Also, the legislation would fix the Election Code to treat all candidates equally with respect to the filing deadline.
