Bill Analysis

Summary: HB 2020 would permit state agencies to start and develop their own wellness programs for their employees. The programs, designed to increase productivity and decrease healthcare costs, could offer financial incentives for participation. HB 2020 would also allow agencies to establish wellness policies for the office designed to encourage employees to be more responsible with their personal health.

Analysis: Because this bill does not appropriate any additional state funds and because it does not require (merely allows) agencies to establish the programs, HB 2020 neither uplifts nor offends any of TPPA's liberty principles.
