Relating to contracts for fingerprinting services entered into by the Department of Public Safety of the State of Texas.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
SB 922 would mandate that contracts entered into by the
Department of Public Safety for fingerprinting services include several
specific stipulations including:
The department would also be required to conduct an annual
review of the services provided by its fingerprinting vendor, including several
specific enumerated criteria, and provide it to the Legislature and Governor’s
office.
