Relating to a transferability report card for public institutions
of higher education.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
SB 1963 would require that, not later than March 1 of each year, an institution of
higher education post on the institution’s Internet website a transferability report card that indicates for the preceding
academic year the total number of semester credit hours for which undergraduate students transferring to the
institution applied for transfer credit, and the percentage of the semester credit hours for which students received
transfer credit.
Texas Action is neutral toward SB 1963.
