Relating to maintaining an electronic directory or contact information for Medicaid managed care program recipients.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
SB 1829 would require the Health and Human Services Commission to maintain an accurate electronic directory of contact information for recipients enrolled in Medicaid, including their home, work, and mobile phone numbers, their email, and their home address, and to ensure that each managed care organization and enrollment broker participating in the Medicaid Managed Care Program update this electronic directory in real-time and to send an electronic copy of this recipient directory to HHSC on a monthly basis.
Maintaining contact information of recipients of a government provided healthcare program does not appear to conflict with our liberty principles. We remain neutral on SB 1829.
