Bill Analysis

SB 1628 would require the Executive Commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission to develop and implement a uniform process for the ombudsman to receive and resolve complaints against the Department of Family and Protective Services throughout the state.

Vote Recommendation Notes

SB 1628 provides greater oversight over the Department of Family and Protective Services. This supports individual liberty, personal responsibility, limited government, and the free market. Texas Action supports SB 1628.
