SB 1582 would allow the Railroad Commission to use a proctoring service to offer examinations for the Texas LP-gas license. In addition, the bill would also make changes to how the fee for this examination is collected; now allowing the person taking the examination to directly pay the fee to the commission rather than requiring the organization administering the examination to collect the fee.
Texas Action remains neutral on SB 1582 as this bill does not impact our liberty principles.
