Relating to an agreement between a school district and public
institution of higher education to provide a dual credit program to
high school students enrolled in the district.
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
SB 1277 would require, in an agreement between a school district and public institution of higher education for providing a dual credit program to high school students, to designate at least one employee of the district or institution as responsible for providing academic advising to a student who enrolls in a dual credit course under the program before the student begins the course.
Texas Action is neutral toward SB 1277 which appears to be good public policy with no direct connection to our liberty principles.
