Bill Analysis

HB 6 would enact a comprehensive set of election reforms. Highlights include improved poll watcher protections, increased penalties for election-related offenses, and prohibitions on unsolicited mail-in ballots or mail-in ballot applications.


Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action supports HB 6 which is consistent with the principles of limited government and individual liberty. This bill would add additional security to Texas elections with a wide variety of measures including mail-in ballot reform, poll watcher protections, and increased penalties for election law violations.
