Relating to the placement of electric vehicle charging equipment on state property.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 3963 would allow state agencies that control state property to enter into an agreement authorizing a charging provider to place and maintain electric vehicle charging equipment on the property. A charging provider would be required to install a metering device to determine the cost of electricity transferred to another person through the electric vehicle charging equipment.
Texas Action remains neutral on HB 3963.
