HB 3418 would require the comptroller to review and revise its procurement procedures and specifications for the purchase of goods to require that any information regarding the recycled, remanufactured, or environmentally sensitive nature of a product that is used as the basis for receiving a preference be certified as accurate by an entity approved by the comptroller. A state agency shall provide a notice of preferences for purchases including the method the agency will use to evaluate, apply, and award the preference.
Texas Action remains neutral on HB 3418.
