HB 2918 would entitle a person to a hearing for court assistance if they were awarded a judgment against another person in a civil suit and despite their efforts have not been able to recover the total money judgment they were awarded. If notice of the hearing is given to the debtor, the court would be required to appoint a receiver to recover the total judgment, unless the debtor appears and asserts an applicable exemption.
