The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill.

Bill Analysis

HB 1930 would require each justice court in the state to include, in their monthly report to the Texas Judicial Council, each case involving a dispute between a landlord and a tenant, such as eviction suits, utility disconnection suits, and suits involving security deposits, among others. The Office of Court Administration would be required to publish the information on their Internet website.
