Bill Analysis

SB 619 is a sunset review bill for a multitude of state commissions and governmental entities, including the Department of Criminal Justice, the Juvenile Justice Department and the Public Utility Commission in addition to many others. The bill mostly only deals with extending the sunset review dates of the entities, although some entities do see minor administrative changes as recommended by the Sunset Advisory Commission. The bill also stipulates that certain communications between the Sunset Commission and state agencies under review, and internal agency communications related to sunset review, are confidential.
