SB 1287 would make updates to the composition of the Texas Homeland Security Council. The bill would eliminate language regarding committees no longer use. The bill would also add Health and Human Services, the State Office of Risk Management, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and the Texas School Safety Center to the list of Texas Homeland Security Council representatives.
Texas Action is neutral on SB 1287 because it does not affect our liberty principles.
