Relating to applicability to military service members of minimum age policies imposed by commercial lodging establishments.
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
SB 1260 would require a commercial lodging establishment that imposes a minimum age policy that denies or restricts lodging to individuals based on age to waive that policy for a military service member who seeks to obtain lodging at the establishment and presents a valid military identification card.
Texas Action remains neutral on SB 1260 because it does not affect our liberty principles.
