Relating to the membership and training course requirements of a public school concussion oversight team and the removal of a public school student from an interscholastic athletic activity on the basis of a suspected concussion.
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
HB 961 would authorize a school district or open-enrollment charter school to allow a school nurse onto their concussion oversight team provided the nurse completes the required training course.
Texas Action remains neutral on HB 961 because it does not promote or violate any of our principles.
