Relating to soliciting from school districts served by a regional education service center certain information in conjunction with the annual evaluation of the center.

The bill would also prohibit the solicited information from being considered when conducting an annual evaluation of a regional education service center.
Texas Action recommends supporting HB 674 because it promotes our principle of limited government. This bill would increase the communication between schools and TEA in an effort to help better address which particular laws and they find burdensome or expensive to comply with. Presumably this information would be used to form a basis for future legislation to reduce laws and rules that are overly burdensome for school districts to comply with. We support HB 674.
