Bill Caption

Relating to reciprocity agreements between certain air ambulance companies operating a subscription program.

Fiscal Notes

According to the Legislative Budget Board, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

HB 463 would require air ambulance companies that operate a subscription program to enter into reciprocity agreements with other air ambulance companies in the state that also operate a subscription program. The Insurance Code would not apply to such a reciprocity agreement.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Requiring private companies to enter into reciprocity agreements violates our limited government principle. It is not the proper role of the state to mandate that private companies enter into such agreements.
