Bill Analysis

HB 3810 would update the version of the International Residential Code adopted under state law as a municipal residential building code from the 2001 version to the 2012 version. A municipality would be able to make local amendments to the code if the municipality holds a public hearing before adoption of the amendment, and then adopts the amendment by ordinance.
