Bill Caption

Relating to the system by which an application for a low income housing tax credit is scored.

Fiscal Notes

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Bill Analysis

HB 1973 would change the way the community support portion of applications for low income housing tax credits is scored. If an application receives no written statement from the state representative who represents the district where a proposed low income housing development would be located, the Department of Housing and Community Affairs would be required to reallocate the points that could had been given to that application.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Texas Action remains neutral on HB 1973 because it does not appear to affect our liberty principles.
