Bill Analysis
Under current law, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) is permitted to contract with organizations to operate statewide preceptorship programs for internal medicine and general pediatrics. SB 491 would also allow the THECB to contract with organizations to operate the preceptorship program for family medicine.
