SB 1731 would abolish the Agriculture and Wildlife Research and Management Advisory Committee, the State of Texas Anniversary Remembrance Day Medal Committee, the Texas Bioenergy Policy Council, the Texas Bioenergy Research Committee, the Border Security Council, the College Opportunity Act Committee, the Texas Distinguished Service Awards Committee, the Advisory Board of Economic Development Stakeholders, The Fire Ant Research and Management Account Advisory Committee, and the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan Advisory Board and update the appropriate laws.

Vote Recommendation Notes

This bill enhances our limited government principle by abolishing unnecessary advisory boards, committees, and councils. We support SB 1731.
