Relating to notice provided to vehicle owners and lienholders by operators of vehicle storage facilities.

Bill Analysis

This bill would modify the portion of the code related to the regulation of vehicle storage facilities. If passed, an operator of a vehicle storage facility who receives a motor vehicle that is required to be registered in this state, but is registered in another state, may give a notice by publication in a newspaper only under certain circumstances. This bill contains the instances and procedures before publication.   

This bill also modifies the portion of the code related to contacting a vehicle owner or lienholder. This bill specifies some additional procedures for contacting the interested parties.
