Bill Analysis
This legislation amends the Government Code to eliminate one position within the Texas National Guard and replace it with another position. The Texas military forces position of assistant
adjutant general for government affairs position would be eliminated while the assistant adjutant general for domestic
operations position would be created. The bill would further clarify the roles and duties of various assistant adjutants general serving under the adjutant general who is by law the "military commander of the Texas military forces."
