Bill Analysis

SB 37 would require the Higher Education Coordinating Board to collect and maintain data relating to the participation of persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities in public higher education. Data must include applications, recruitment, admissions, retention, graduation, and professional licensing of persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

No major changes have been made to this bill in House committee. The changes are mostly technical clean-ups and a more detailed description of the study to be authorized by the bill. We remain neutral.
